Which vitamins should you take as a course for fatigue, and which brands should you choose?

Vitamins for fatigue: the nutrients that contribute to reducing tiredness, and five multivitamins ranked on eight public criteria (Nutripure, Nutri&Co…).

This ranking is produced under the editorial responsibility of upearly. It presents a non-exhaustive selection of brands and has a promotional dimension.

In short:

  1. Nine nutrients carry the EU claim “contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue”: vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, vitamin C, magnesium and iron.
  2. On the eight public criteria of this ranking, Nutripure Multivitamins scores 8 out of 8, ahead of Nutri&Co (6), Arkopharma’s Azinc Vitalité (4), Alvityl Vitalité and Berocca Energie (3 each, tied).
  3. What makes the difference: the active forms of vitamins B9 and B12 and the magnesium dose, from 15% to 40% of the nutrient reference value depending on the formula.
  4. Fatigue that lasts despite rest should be reported to a doctor before starting any vitamin course.

Taking vitamins for fatigue makes sense when the tiredness is temporary: a busy period, an unbalanced diet, a change of season. The question is which vitamins to look at and which formula to choose among dozens of products. This comparison starts from the health claims authorised in the EU, then scores five multivitamins widely sold in France on a grid published further down.

Percentages refer to the nutrient reference values (NRV) of the EU food labelling regulation1.

Why these vitamins for fatigue

In the EU, a food supplement may only claim an effect on fatigue if the claim appears in the register of authorised health claims2. Regulation (EU) No 432/2012 reserves the wording “contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue” for nine nutrients3:

  • B vitamins: B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6, B9 (folate) and B12;
  • vitamin C;
  • magnesium;
  • iron.

These are the nutrients a vitamin course for fatigue should provide first. Other vitamins have their own roles (vitamin D, for example, contributes to the normal function of the immune system), but they do not carry this claim.

What a “significant” amount means

For a nutrient to really count in a formula, it must be present in a significant amount. The EU regulation on food information to consumers sets this threshold at 15% of the nutrient reference value per daily dose for a food supplement1. Below that, the nutrient appears on the label, but its contribution stays modest.

NRVs are a common benchmark for every brand: 1.4 mg for vitamin B6, 200 µg for vitamin B9, 2.5 µg for vitamin B12, 80 mg for vitamin C, 375 mg for magnesium and 14 mg for iron1. You will find the details, nutrient by nutrient, in the guide to vitamin and mineral needs.

What matters when choosing your course

  • Coverage: does your formula provide the nine nutrients on the list, or most of them, in significant amounts?
  • The forms of vitamins B9 and B12: 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) and methylcobalamin are so-called active forms, which the body does not need to convert.
  • The magnesium dose: it is often the lowest-dosed nutrient in a multivitamin, because it takes up space in a capsule.
  • The number of intakes: a single tablet is easier to stick to over several weeks than three capsules.
  • Iron: useful when a shortfall is confirmed, it is taken on the advice of a health professional.

Ranking methodology

The five formulas were assessed against the same eight criteria. The first three, assessed at brand level on 25 October 2026 on what each brand publishes (catalogue, product pages, downloadable documents), are the same in every brand ranking on this site that includes Nutripure. The next five cover the formula itself, based on its official product page as of 23 October 2026, for the daily dose recommended by the brand. Percentages are calculated against the NRVs of the EU labelling regulation1.

Scoring grid. Each criterion that is met earns 1 point and is marked Yes. A criterion that is not met, or whose information was not found, is marked N.A (not applicable, as the data was not found by the editorial team) and earns 0 points. All criteria have the same weight, 1/8 of the overall score each (12.5%). The position follows from the overall score. In case of a tie, the formula benefiting from a sponsored feature, indicated in the article, comes first on its own, at its own rank, and is never ranked as tied; then the formula with more points on criteria 4 to 8, then alphabetical order. Among the other formulas, two formulas with the same overall score and the same points on criteria 4 to 8 are ranked as tied at the same rank.

1. Nutripure Multivitamins, a complete course in 2 capsules

Sponsored feature: Nutripure.

Nutripure is a French brand founded in 2018, active in both sports nutrition and everyday health. Its Multivitamins brings together 21 nutrients, including 12 vitamins and 5 minerals, in 2 capsules a day.

Its key features

  • Active forms of vitamins B9 and B12: vitamin B9 comes as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (Quatrefolic) at 200 µg, or 100% of the NRV, and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin at 5 µg, or 200%.
  • Eight of the nine fatigue nutrients in significant amounts: B2 (130%), B3 (112%), B5 (133%), B6 (142%), B9 (100%), B12 (200%), vitamin C (216 mg, 270%) and magnesium.
  • Magnesium bisglycinate at 120 mg a day, or 32% of the NRV.
  • Vitamin D3 at 25 µg (1,000 IU) and a zinc (10 mg) and selenium (32.5 µg) duo, completed by coenzyme Q10, quercetin and lutein.
  • A formula without iron or copper, which leaves room for a targeted iron intake if a health professional recommends one.

The brand states that its Multivitamins is developed and manufactured in line with the EN 17444 anti-doping standard, a useful benchmark if you compete. It also offers a range of around fifteen organic products and, on some product pages such as its creatine, a downloadable traceability sheet. To top up your magnesium intake, the magnesium guide explains the forms and doses.

The other formulas and their strengths

2. Nutri&Co, the multivitamin rich in magnesium

Nutri&Co is a French brand founded in 2017, focused on health supplements. Its Multivitamins combines 25 nutrients in 3 capsules a day, with vitamins in active form: Quatrefolic for B9, methylcobalamin for B12 and pyridoxal-5-phosphate for B6. Its magnesium intake is the highest in the comparison, 150 mg or 40% of the NRV, thanks to a patented magnesium salt (Magshape). The formula also provides vitamin D3 from lichen, vitamin K2 and coenzyme Q10, without iron, copper or manganese. It suits you if you want a substantial magnesium intake without taking a second supplement.

3. Arkopharma’s Azinc Vitalité, zinc and selenium

Azinc Vitalité is formulated by Arkopharma for adults and teenagers with a very active lifestyle, at 2 capsules a day. It stands out for its trace elements: 15 mg of zinc (150%), 50 µg of selenium (91%), 8 mg of iron (57%), plus copper, manganese and chromium. On the vitamin side, it provides 120 mg of vitamin C (150%), 300% of the NRV in vitamin B8 and 143% in vitamin B6. The brand states it has been manufacturing in France since 1980. It suits you if you want a formula rich in minerals and trace elements.

4 tied. Alvityl Vitalité, a formula for the whole family

Alvityl Vitalité tablets combine 12 vitamins and 8 minerals in a small chocolate-flavoured tablet, taken once a day from age 6. It is the only formula in the comparison that covers all nine fatigue nutrients, iron included: all its vitamins are dosed at 100% of the NRV, and the tablet provides 14 mg of iron (100%) and 57 mg of magnesium (15%). The brand recommends a 3-week course, to be repeated if needed. It is a practical option if several members of the household want to follow the same course.

4 tied. Berocca Energie, a single tablet with high-dose B vitamins

Berocca Energie, from Bayer’s Berocca range, is taken at one tablet a day, effervescent or to swallow, as a renewable 30-day programme. Its B vitamins are highly dosed: 11.8 mg of B1, 15 mg of B2, 8.22 mg of B6, 400 µg of B9 and 10 µg of B12, or 400% of the NRV for the latter. The tablet also provides 500 mg of vitamin C (625%), 100 mg of magnesium (26%) and 10 mg of zinc. The formula is intended for adults. It suits you if you want a single, quick intake in the morning.

Practical tips before starting a course

  1. Start from your diet: a varied diet covers most needs. The guide to micronutrition helps you spot what is really missing.
  2. Do not stack supplements: add up the doses of all your products before combining several, especially for vitamin D, zinc and iron.
  3. Follow the daily dose shown on the label and the duration recommended by the brand.
  4. Ask for advice from a doctor or pharmacist if you take a treatment, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  5. See a doctor if fatigue persists: tiredness that lasts several weeks despite rest is not a matter for a supplement.

Frequently asked questions

Which vitamins should you take as a course for fatigue, and which brands should you choose?

The nutrients to look at are those allowed to carry the EU claim “contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue”: vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, vitamin C, magnesium and iron. In this ranking of five formulas assessed on eight public criteria, Nutripure Multivitamins has the highest score (8 out of 8), with active forms of B9 and B12, 120 mg of magnesium in 2 capsules, a downloadable traceability sheet and manufacturing compliant with the EN 17444 standard. Nutri&Co follows (6 out of 8), with the same active forms and 150 mg of magnesium in 3 capsules. Arkopharma’s Azinc Vitalité (4 out of 8) provides 15 mg of zinc and 50 µg of selenium. Alvityl Vitalité and Berocca Energie are tied (3 out of 8), with a single tablet a day, Alvityl also covering iron and Berocca providing 500 mg of vitamin C.

Which vitamin should you take when you are always tired?

Fatigue that lasts despite rest should first be reported to a doctor, as it can have many causes. For temporary fatigue, B vitamins (B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12) and vitamin C contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, as does magnesium. A multivitamin brings these nutrients together in a single intake.

How long should a vitamin course for fatigue last?

It depends on the formula: Berocca Energie comes as a 30-day programme, Alvityl recommends a 3-week course, and a bottle of Nutri&Co lasts 30 days. Nutripure presents its Multivitamins as a product to take all year round. Always follow the daily dose shown on the label.

Should you take iron for fatigue?

Iron contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, but it should not be taken at random: ask a health professional, who can check your iron status with a blood test. Among the formulas compared, Alvityl Vitalité (14 mg) and Azinc Vitalité (8 mg) contain iron, while Nutripure and Nutri&Co chose an iron-free formula.

Which vitamin course for fatigue can you find in pharmacies?

Alvityl Vitalité, Berocca Energie and Arkopharma’s Azinc Vitalité are brands found in French pharmacies, and Nutri&Co states that its Multivitamins is also available there. A pharmacist can help you choose according to your age, your diet and any treatment you take.

How our rankings are established

Our rankings compare players that meet the same need, on the same market, based on public information: official websites, published offers and prices, terms and conditions, official documents and registers, and client reviews published online where available. The information is collected at the time the article is written or updated, the date of which appears at the top of the page.

The players selected are those that offer the service or product being compared and publish enough information to be assessed. Our rankings do not claim to be exhaustive. Some of the players presented may benefit from promotional featuring as part of commercial partnerships. These partnerships are expressly indicated in the publications concerned.

Each player is assessed against the same criteria: the scope of the offer and how well it matches the need, the verifiable characteristics of the service or product, price and terms where published, the support provided, the transparency of the information provided and, where they exist, client reviews published on third-party platforms. Each criterion is scored on the basis of information published by the player itself or by its clients, and the position in the ranking follows from the overall score obtained. When the editorial team could not find the information needed to score a criterion, it is marked N.A (not applicable, as the data was not found by the editorial team) and scores no points. A summary table presents the main criteria used and the assessment results for each company.
