In short:

  1. This guide covers 14 food supplement laboratories and brands based in France, grouped by speciality and then in alphabetical order, with no order of preference.
  2. The information comes from the brands’ official websites, consulted on 2 November 2026: location, history, manufacturing, labels and testing.
  3. Several brands state that they manufacture in their own factory (Nutergia, Nutrimuscle) or have a manufacturing laboratory (Dynveo, Nutrixeal).
  4. For a tested athlete, the benchmark is the EN 17444 or NF V94-001 standard, to be checked product by product.

No food supplement brand ticks every box at once. Some come from bodybuilding, others from micronutrition or medicinal plants, and they do not all publish the same information about their manufacturing. This guide gathers, brand by brand, what each one states on its official website, to help you find the one that fits your needs.

What this guide looked at

This guide is based neither on factory visits nor on laboratory testing of products. The information comes from the brands’ official pages (presentation, commitments, quality, product pages), consulted on 2 November 2026, and for some product pages on 25 October 2026. Four points come up:

  • who manufactures: the brand’s own factory or laboratory, or a contract manufacturer;
  • labels and branded ingredients, such as Creapure for creatine, EPAX for omega-3 or Naticol for collagen;
  • the tests the brand makes available to customers;
  • anti-doping standards for tested athletes.

These are statements made by the brands. Readers can check some of them through downloadable certificates or certificates available on request. The guide on how to choose a food supplement brand details these criteria one by one.

The best brand is the one that matches your use, sport or general health, and that clearly publishes what it puts in its products.

Sports nutrition

Inshape Nutrition

Inshape Nutrition is Tibo InShape’s sports nutrition brand. It presents itself as a French brand, with manufacturing in France and in Europe. Its range is built around the needs of weight training, including whey protein.

Nutrimuscle

Nutrimuscle presents itself as a company committed to sports nutrition since 1993. The brand has its own factory, which, it says, allows it to control its production processes and the freshness of its supplements. It states that every production stage is subject to analyses and counter-analyses carried out by independent laboratories. On its product pages, it mentions Creapure creatine, Peptan collagen peptides and the EN 17444 standard.

Nutripure

Nutripure was founded in 2018 by Christophe Carrio, with the aim of helping athletes prepare their future health. The brand cites branded raw materials: Creapure for creatine, EPAX for omega-3 and Naticol for marine collagen. It offers downloadable traceability sheets on its product pages and mentions manufacturing in line with the EN 17444 standard. Its range also includes around fifteen organic products.

Overstims

Overstims is a French brand founded in 1982 and specialised in sports nutrition. It highlights its French know-how, with a range geared towards exercise: energy products, gels, recovery and protein.

Creatine and protein are the most common supplements in these ranges; the sports nutrition guide explains which ones serve which goal.

Health and micronutrition

Cell’innov

Cell’innov is a food supplement brand based in Paris. It states that it mainly uses standardised dry extracts and displays the active substance dosage for each product, which makes it easier to compare one formula with another.

Dynveo

Dynveo is a French laboratory based in Teyran, in Occitanie, founded in 2010 by its founder, then a student. In 2015, the brand created Greencaps, a certified laboratory for the contract manufacturing and packaging of organic food supplements, in order to produce without excipients or additives. The brand highlights systematic testing and the traceability of its products, which are also available in pharmacies.

Novoma

Novoma states that its food supplements are designed and made in France. Each product page has its own identity card: origin of the active ingredients, names of the suppliers and full certificates of analysis. On its product pages, the brand also mentions Creapure creatine, Naticol marine collagen and the EN 17444 standard. Its products are available in pharmacies.

Nutergia

Nutergia presents itself as a French designer and manufacturer of food supplements since 1989. The brand designs and makes its products in its integrated eco-industrial laboratory in France, and its quality department checks and approves each batch before it goes on sale. It is certified ISO 22000 and ISO 9001. Its range focuses on micronutrition.

Nutri&Co

Nutri&Co was founded in 2017 by a former finance professional with a passion for nutrition. The brand offers a wide range of health and sports supplements. On its product pages, it mentions Creapure creatine, type I and III Naticol collagen, Verisol ingredients and the EN 17444 standard.

Nutrixeal

The Nutrixeal laboratory is located near Grenoble, in the heart of the Alps. Its factory has been certified organic by Ecocert since 2018. The brand states that it checks the authenticity of purified substances in its in-house analysis laboratory, by infrared spectrometry, for each new batch received, and publishes certificates in an “Analyses” section on the page of each of its products.

PiLeJe

PiLeJe was founded in 1991 by Dr Christian Leclerc. The laboratory manufactures and distributes nutrition and health solutions based on micronutrition, phytonutrition and microbiotic strains. It has over 300 products and 750 employees, operates in 45 countries and holds B Corp certification.

For basic micronutrient needs, the vitamins and minerals page sets out the reference intakes, and the magnesium fact sheet details the most requested supplement in these ranges.

Herbal medicine and organic

Arkopharma

Arkopharma was born in the Alpes-Maritimes. Since 1980, the brand has focused on medicinal plants, with a range of food supplements and natural health and beauty products.

Fleurance Nature

Ponroy

Ponroy Laboratories have all their teams based in Montaigu, in Vendée. Their certifications page cites the certification body Ecocert and the EU organic logo, used on the Bioconseils range, which certifies that at least 95% of the ingredients come from organic farming.

The benchmarks that matter on a label

BenchmarkWhat to look at
Form of nutrientsBisglycinate, citrate, oxide for magnesium; form and amount stated for each vitamin
Branded ingredientsCreapure, EPAX, Naticol, Peptan: the name identifies the supplier of the raw material
ClaimsOnly the authorised wording of the EU register2, such as “contributes to”
Daily doseThe amount per serving and the percentage of the reference value
PriceBased on the daily dose, not on the tub

The omega-3 and collagen fact sheets show how to read these benchmarks on two very popular products.

Warning signs

  • The form of the vitamins and minerals is not stated.
  • No analysis is available, even on request.
  • The label promises to cure, treat or prevent a disease: this is prohibited for a food supplement.
  • A raw material label is cited without saying which product it applies to.

Frequently asked questions

Which food supplement laboratories are French?

This guide covers 14 brands and laboratories based in France: Arkopharma, Cell’innov, Dynveo, Fleurance Nature, Inshape Nutrition, Novoma, Nutergia, Nutri&Co, Nutrimuscle, Nutripure, Nutrixeal, Overstims, PiLeJe and Ponroy. They differ in their speciality (sport, micronutrition, herbal medicine, organic) and in what they publish about their manufacturing and testing.

How can you find out where a food supplement is made?

Look at the brand’s “about us”, “commitments” or “quality” page, then at the product page. A brand can make its products in its own factory or entrust manufacturing to a contract manufacturer. If the information is not there, ask the brand’s customer service.

Which standard should I check if I am subject to anti-doping tests?

The NF V94-001 and EN 17444 standards govern the manufacture of supplements intended for athletes, to limit the risk of contamination by banned substances. Several brands in this guide, such as Novoma, Nutri&Co, Nutrimuscle and Nutripure, mention the EN 17444 standard on product pages. Check the mention on the exact product you buy.

Is a supplement sold in pharmacies different from one sold online?

No, the rules are the same: a food supplement sold in France must meet the same composition, labelling and claims rules, whatever the sales channel. Several brands in this guide are sold both online and in pharmacies.
